About the Journal
Patchwork Journal is open access (both for reading and publication). The Journal aims to develop a multidisciplinary space for gender research, which makes it of general interest for law and other related disciplines. In addition to (original and review) research articles and professional articles, Patchwork also publishes book/conference reviews. Contributions are published in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Montenegrin or in English. In specific cases, if a topic is of special interest for the Journal, the Editorial Board may also accept preliminary communications, critical reviews, or essays for consideration.
Patchwork – Journal of Women’s Studies was launched in 2003 by a group of feminists gathered around the Žarana Papić Women’s Studies Programme. Its first publisher was the Women to Women Association from Sarajevo. In 2013, the University of Sarajevo – Centre for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies took over the publication. As of 2022, the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Law will assume the publishing of the women’s/gender studies journal.
